Use a diary to work thru all of the feelings you have, just start writing and soon enough you will find out why you are holding on and be able to think about moving on, I don't think you should find someone else as I do not believe in rebounds, it is not fair on you or the next person you are with. Also with the diary use it to vent, and talk to the person thru it, however do not contact them or send them what you have wrote. If you are still not able to get over the person after that then you need to find closure, and only you will know what is the right way to close that chapter in your life, and only you will know when you are ready to let go, don't force it but also don't dwell on it.

It's a tricky situation I know, it has been 8 months since my fiance left and I am not yet over it, healing but not there yet. And for me a fling was not the answer only made me pine for him more

My best advise to you is to let out all the anger emotions and and anything out. Once your past that I would say hope to god you got friends lol and go out every day and have people over at your place and talk and have fun go out and be busy over all. The hard part is try not to talk to the person for at least a whole 2 weeks. Trust its hard the first week thus you have your friends and fam. But the second you will see that you can live life with out them. by the third you will realize you have become a better person and realized why you or he left you. Or hell you can think of the bad things and just have anger LOL but NO! its better to have good memories and move on. This can be used as a lesson in life on what to do and not what to do to become a better foryourself and the next one who come into your life. Or if he/she comes back to you.

Sometimes it is impossible, you can think back many years later and still think of that person as the best person that was ever in your life. Its just tough, life is unfair. You may never meet them again and just go on 5, 10, 15 years from now still secretly holding a flame for that person.

They say time heals all wounds. So keep yourself busy with friends and pick up a new hobby to distract yourself.

hmm, nicest way would be to go around them i guess, but if you really had to get over them, you could push them over and walk on top of them, or jump, be hard to jump over them though without the push.

Have new experiences. Gradually the new, great experiences will replace the old.
