my girlfriend was diagnosed many years ago with lupus, her dad had lupus also, he has now since past away.. She however, deals with her lupus rather well. it does cause her to feel fatigued and it can be debilitating, but she doesnt let it stop her. she stays active, she still works, two jobs in fact.. and she was diagnosed with it over 20 years ago. she is now about 44.. Do the best you can with what you have. Don't let it get thebest of you. and yes unfortunately it will take over.. but when can not be determined. they are still learning alot about the disease.. get all the literature you can on it. I bet you can find alot about it on the internet at one of the M.D. sites.. research it and learn all youcan about it and what helps to alleviate the pain. or the rashes... knowledge is your best defense... Good Luck! I hope that you are able to find answers to your dilema.. and so do the doctors hope to find a cure or anything that will help you... Research.. research, research.. thats all you can do..

I Know!! People have a way of distorting reality, because they don't want to deal with it. :)) They're in denial... I mean they even named a river The Nile... :) that just sounds like Denial to me. :) How can something be 'new and improved'? If it's new what was it improving on? If it's called a boxing RING, then why are they square? :))

My sister in law has it and has had it for a long time. I don't know all of what she goes through except low energy levels, she gets tired easily. I think it is often misdiagnosed also. Always look to the positive otherwise theres no chance of it getting better.

So sorry about this.
I would advise you really look into eating very healthy.
Get what exercise that you can.
Keep a positive outlook. Take very good care of yourself., don't get too tired, too hungry or too lonely.

Awwwwh.
You're in my prayers, and I hope things get better.
No one deserves that.
My mother has lupus and she lived to be 94, so you never know. :]

it would really irresponsible for someone to give you a prognosis over the internet. how could we possibly know all your personal health history?
but my cousin has the diease and she's doing just fine, she just has to take a lot of steps to protect her skin.
