There are probably thousands of diets out there and each one has its perks and drawbacks. The most important thing to guarantee weight loss is watch caloric intake. Basically burn more calories than you take in. You can eat greasy cheeseburgers all day long so long as you burn off more calories than you consume and still lose weight.
So long as energy expent is greater than energy taken in, you will lose weight regardless of whatever diet or lacking diet you are in.

The best diet system is a simple balanced diet of all the food groups in a reasonable amount and moderate servings. 2000 cal per day diet for adult males for instance. If your trying to lose weight, fad diets never work and only lead to binge eating and rapid weight gain. Sensible eating with routine exercise is the only known way to control weight. Also there is no such thing as a miracle pill.

Best diet system...
A simple three step method...
1. Committment. Never give up. Never give up. Never give up. Don't think of a slip up as failure. Its just a new starting point.
2. Shut your mouth. You don't need to eat all that crap. And its mostly crap isn't it? Diets don't work. Just use common sense. Mostly has nothing to do with what you eat... the problem is how much.
3. Get off your butt. You must exercise. Period. Bottom Line: You must burn more calories than you take in.
See my pic up there? I'm proud of that one... its my "I lost 80 pounds" grin.
Good Luck.

Eat sensibly and have self control.
Yeah, there are hundreds of elaborate designer diets out there, but most people don't get fat threw elaborate ways. -They just have no self control.
Save your money, don't spend it on gimmick diets that proport to make dieting easy. Dieting is never easy and there is no pill that is a substitute for simple self-control.
