It is available by Federal law, over the counter nationwide for women 18 years and older. You may have to ask a pharmacist for it however. There is a new push to move the age to 16, but we aren't there yet.

It is available OTC, but it still kept behind the counter, just ask for it. CA requires most HMO and insurance companies to cover the costs.

Rite care below, the link even has a number to call to get it delivered to a pharmacy near you if they don't have it, call them about the costs.

Yes, it is sold without a prescription, but it is still behind the pharmacy counter, so you will have to ask for it.
