There is no proof of a God. None whatsoever. That is why the belief is called "faith" - faith is, by definition, belief without proof. If something, anything, turned up that irrefutably proved God's existence, or even suggested that god could possibly be real, then it would no longer be faith.

It is interesting to note that a god who supposedly has full sovereign control over the universe and wants humans to believe in him (on pain of eternal hellfire) seems so hesitant to provide such a simple request.

I believe the most convincing proof that God exists is "Love". It is so hard to believe in something you can't see or touch. That is why faith has such meaning. None of us will actually know for sure until our time comes whether or not God exists but I believe he does. If he doesn't I won't regret how I lived my life though because my faith in God has made me a more compassionate, loving and better person.

I think it's more hard to believe that there is no God. There must have been something supernatural to make the earth and everything it, and the whole universe. I mean how could it become without something supernatural? God must exsist! Evolution is not scientific at all, so that can't be true. There is no 100% proof that God does or doesn't exist. That's why we have faith. I don't see the air, but I breath it so it must exist. I don't see God, but I see the wonderful things he has done for me so he must exist.

Your not going to get proof of Gods existence on Yahoo! Answers pal. You have to have faith. When you start living for God and give him all the glory and all the praise for everything in your life you will begin to feel the presence of God. You will no longer be looking for proof, because God will be all around you. I will be praying for you and good luck in your search for truth.

God exists ! God does not exist ! Proof enough?

there is no proof of either. However the weight of evidence does not support the existence of god. Also, the onus of proof is on the one proposing the existence of something beyond the realm of common experience.

If I told you there was an invisible pink unicorn in my garage, you wouldn't believe it on my say so...you'd want evidence. If I said No, you prove it doesn't exist...you wouldn't accept that, would you??

The most common for/against arguments are summarized here

Just look within you. Meditate and find the answer yourself. even if somebody gives you the proof you are not going to follow that. It's not about proof it's about realizing...so try to look inside yourself only...and i am sure you will get the answer..if not today then someday ...definately

I think if there was proof or nonproof after all this time man has debated for thousands of years, we would know it by now. Its a wasted discussion.

Human beings are a nano-something in a transition of which they don't know much about. The human-conceived semitic God is an ethnical entity, He belongs to a tribe, or even to a race of humans, and He is reported to prefer some human beings and their lifestyle to other human beings who may not even know what the others are doing or thinking about that same God or about another idea of God.

We are the favorite children of a semitic God in our adhesion to the Biblical concept of creation, but then other children of the same God or of another idea of God may think that we are infidel sinners and even ignorant of their Holy Father in yonder paradise therefore according to them we may need to be converted or even to be exterminated if we do not adhere to the dogmas of their holy religious law.

Anyway, my idea is that there are many different yonder dimensions of which we can have no vision as we are just a nano-something temporarily existing and temporarily sedimented in a creation of which we have no indisputable concrete knowledge about.

But as we are just a nano-something of the same creation, just as much as a flora of microorganisms for instance in our bowels is something of us, we may have a kind of glowing intuition of something great containing us.

We may have a limited glowing intuition of WHAT created us. And that WHAT is our Almighty God, not just in the banal blunt figure of a humanly father, but as a SELF-ORIGINATED LIFE ORIGINATOR to whom our own life, as much as all other life belongs.

We are a blunt, superstitious, ferocious short-sightet nano-something in a transition of which we don't know much about.

There is some sort of great transcendental meaning behind all our things that it is not up to us to fetch. Not yet. Maybe never!
