1. how do people of today base their faith on demonstration of divine power by religious figures?
and 2. What failures in Christian discipleship today call for such warnings?

i will answer part two
discipleship failures it because people is no longer honest about living to God as Jesus said in Mat 22: 37 to love God from all ur heart and strengh. people don't care anymore to die and let jesus show in their life. they want to live to themselves.
