I disagree even though I am highly religious and I will explain why.
First of all like any religious group on here you have the good athiest and the bad athiest. The good athiest is much the same as me. On here to learn and expand my mind. The bad athiest is the one that just ridicules. Every religious sector has a lot of them on here not just the Athiest.
I mean I love to learn, that is why I am here. And if you take away the Athiest, scientoly, ect. ect. then all this area would be is a pissing contest between religions and a few honest questions. Think about it, most of the people on here are 100% thier religion. They know as much about thier religion as they want to know. So why are they on here? See even though people that are Athiest are not religious; Athiesm is still a religious word.
See religion to a lot of people is what brought us into the World. If you believe that we came from apes it is still a belief.
See the best thing about Athiests being on here is that you get to know your own beliefs better. The reason for this is some Athiests are so against religion that they have studied the Holy books and religion better then the people that are in those religions. In other words they combat you with information that you have to find out about, thus making you more aware of your own religion.
For example if I was to tell you that in the Christian religion that women are suppose to have there face covered in church you would be like no way and have to look it up. Yes, it is in the New testament, but I will let you look that up instead of explaining it to you. This is just one of the things you can learn from an Athiest.
Again I am not an Athiest. I am very religious that uses some questions I see on here to make my beliefs stronger.

In my opinion atheism is merely a conviction of the same worth as Christianity, Islam, and Judaism etc. No one can prove with science available today that god (or gods) exists or that s/he/it DOESN'T exist. So *any* idea or theory concerning some higher intelligence (even its denial) is purely a belief that doesn’t outweigh any other belief.
Just like many religious people, atheists like to elevate themselves above the others whose faith is different. But that's just one more thing they have in common with other “believers”.
It seems to be impossible for a human being not to have some sort of spiritual/religious theory or conviction that explains their existence and their place in the universe. Maybe complete absence of that quality would require total lack of mind and soul.
Isn’t that what makes us so unique, -our ability to see beyond place and time, no matter what it is that we might see (or not see).

Atheism is the religion of the nonbeliever. They could just not believe. That they seek converts to what they see as a religion is taking away from spiritual life. I do not care to advocate my personal views on religion, just to clarify, inform and offer an alternative view and a guiding philosophy. I believe in a balance between the secular and spiritual and am against the 'Religious Right' which is neither Christian nor right.
This atheism thing is fine for a person as an individual. My mother is an atheist, we don't talk about religion around her, and she doesn't push it on us. That works.

Atheism isn't a device of ideals or a perception device. it really is a stance on the life of god(s). no longer some thing more effective. Theism isn't a perception device both, it really is a stance that a god (or gods) exists. Christianity is a perception device. Islam is a perception device. Judaism is a perception device. Christianity, Judaism and islam are all perception platforms of theists. There are not any perception platforms of atheists, because atheists do no longer set up into spearate sects or denominations in accordance to ideals. it really is chance-free to anticipate that each human being atheist has ideals, and hence a perception device, yet that device of ideals does no longer revolve round what an atheist does no longer believe: god(s). As for: "on account that atheism won't be able to be shown and on account that disproving evidences for God does no longer teach there's no God, atheists have a position it really is intellectually indefensible." it truly is real of gods besides. Theism (the life of gods) won't be able to be shown, hence theists have a position it really is intellectually indefensible. the in consumer-friendly words intellectually defensable position is that of the agnostic, which, if we are straightforward adequate to admit it, all of us are. i'm no longer particular if you're attentive to it, yet your argument has carried out as a lot adverse to theism because it has for atheism. the in consumer-friendly words distinction is that it doesnt make any distinction to atheists. I, as an atheist am more effective amused at such an attempt to undermine a "perception device of atheism" once you obviously do no longer comprehend adequate about atheism to attack it legitimatly. instead you've attacked it as you would possibly want to attack christianity and therefore carried out more effective damage to christianity as a theist perception device, than agaisnt atheism which isn't a perception device.

I wouldn't say that atheism is a "non-religion", because to refer to it in this manner suggests that they have some sense of organization or set of beliefs. I would simply refer to it as a "lack of religion". And, just like anyone else, atheists enjoy sharing their opinions ... and they are perfectly within their rights to do so. No matter what your beliefs are, there is always someone who will disagree and try to dispute your beliefs. That's why faith is such a staple in most religions ... that you should hold true to your spirituality in the face of ridicule and denouncement.

Most of the atheists I have known don't talk about God at all. They are those though that do seem obsessed with God and talk about him more than any believer in God I've ever known. But you have control freaks in every aspect of life. Thats just a personality trait and its not confined to atheists.

Hmmm... 'non to prove'???.... Wish I knew what you were trying to mean by that;)...Anyway....I see no reason why WE should shut up!! It's called Freedom of Speech my friend, ever heard about it?;)...Besides, you see, most of US happen to know MORE about Faith than most believers do, because we're SEEKERS and our minds and hearts are OPEN. Some bigots povoke us and we answer back, that's it. I think we have the right to speak our minds, especially since what WE say can be proved;) Peace.

Wow, that is one of the worst-written posts I've read in weeks. Where are you from? If English is NOT your first language, I apologize for being critical. If it IS your first language, you need to go to sleep now and get up bright and early to go to school.
As for why atheists are on this site, it is a discussion site. This part is for discussion about religion. Atheists have very strong opinions concerning religion. Ergo, here they are.
Ok? Now go away and let the adults talk.

First off: It is not to us to "disprove", it is up to you guys to "prove" with more substantial evidence than "Because I say so."
Second: This is not the "Christian" forum. This is "Religion and Spirituality". Some atheists have an interest in religions of all types, and some of us are here to correct the misinformation that gets tossed around as fact here. If you have a problem with it, then go away.

"shut up for non to prove"???
What does that mean?
Look... atheists have just as much to say on the subject as believers. What makes an answer that affirms the existence of a god any more valuable, valid or worthy of inclusion than an answer that claims gods do not exist?
Why should only people who believe in a god answer questions pertaining to religion and spirituality? It makes no sense. Atheists are thinking, opinioned people who have just as much right to throw in their two cents as do believers.
