If you are so spiritually strong then how do you explain the Buddhist monks who burned themselves alive while peacefully sitting in meditation?

The fire does not even touch those Christians who are strong in their beliefs let alone sing them, God willing. Its been proven many times(can quote many articles and testimonies), including with the Jews in the Bible such as Shedrach, Mesach and Abed Nego. Desensitizing yourself to pain is not a sign of "higher power", as these are present in every so-called religion, even shamanism. In addition, Christians are humble enough to acknowledge that it is the power of God and not their own or the "so-called god within them" that can work miracles.
Plus Christians do not tempt God or commit suicide. Even the situations that are quoted is when they were in danger from external forces, not self-induced.
If I were to use that logic, I would ask you : With all those "spiritually strong" Buddhist monks including the Dalai Lama, why is Tibet still chained under Chinese rule ?
The Pope stood up to all the forces of communism and Eastern Europe prevailed starting with Poland without "magical powers" or recourse to violence ? How did it happen ? The power of God is greater than anything man can pretend to conjure.

There is an example in the Bible with people sitiing in the fire and feeling ok, in the story of king Nebucadeneezer. Please read it before making stupid comments. And killing yourself is no way to please God. Plus, let's not forget, I didn't see any Buddhist monks on TV doing that. Did you?

No way ! The difference is possessions. The Christians would be thinking about their stuff, thats what they live for. ( me too because I'm an American.)
The monks are truly free from those thoughts and chains.

Anyone who burns themself alive and sits peacefully in the process has got to be crazy, Buddhist or Christian.

It's considered a sin to commit suicide in the Christian religion. Thank goodness.

Good point.

Talk about discipline, I can only imagine.
We just don't have much of that kind of discipline. You know, the kind where you actually practice, and get results.

your argument does not make a point.

if you are so spiritualy enlightened, how other people can do amazing things?

that question just makes no sense. it merely implies states that some budhists can do that; how does that imply that christians could not do the same?
