Someone tell me if they have ever met illegals from countries other than Mexico? If so, does the wall in Mexico make sense? Should we put up a wall at the Canadian border?

I have met 'illegals' from Canada, France, China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Nigeria, Yemen, Armenia, the UK, Russia...

Many 'illegal immigrants' fly into international airports, generally enter the US legally and then over-stay their visas. This population includes students, professionals and family members from around the world. They generally have friends or family members in the US, who assist them with shelter and finding work.

An international student who works off campus is 'illegal', as is a vacationer who works or gets married, or a professional who hasn't gotten around to renewing their working visa yet.

Fun Fact: Some years ago it was discovered that there were more 'illegal' Irishmen in San Francisco than any other group.

The fence along the border of Mexico only makes sense politically. The fence is a psychological symbol for the radical racist base of the Republican Party, not rational national security policy.

For more ideas about why the fence is a silly thing to build, google 'Tijuana tunnel'.

Mexicans are NOT the only illegals. There are illegals of just about every race. The governemnt is picking out the mexicans as the majority of them would work if given the opportunity. There are a lot of illegals from other countries who come here and do not work, so they are not a "threat".

Yes, where I used to work I met illegals from other countries all the time. The wall to Mexico makes absolutely no sense at all, if they are going to put a wall up to border Mexico, they need to put it up everywhere, put a huge wall all around the entire country and stop bringing in people from other countries who are not going to work. At least the majority of mexicans are willing to work.

About 1/5th of the illegal aliens in this country are not Mexican, this is down from 1/3rd only 2 years ago. Canada protects its borders much better than Mexico and we have only a slight threat of terrorist sneaking in from Canada. Besides, there are very few Mexicans in Canada right now. A wall is a great choice, we need to either put up a wall or use deadly force to stem the time of this hostile invasion. Which would you rather see?

It's not only Mexicans, it's Latinos.

Also, many people come from out of continent in to Mexico, and then come up to the US.

I think we should worry about finishing a wall between us and Mexico before starting one between us and Canada.

No, Mexicans aren't the only illegals in California. There are a lot of Limeys, Kiwis, and others in California, but they don't piss off white people by playing loud music and celebrating their culture and holidays and taking away jobs that poor unskilled white people do for more money than Mexicans do. Canadians are polite and educated so many white people mistake them for Midwestern carpetbaggers. A wall would not be needed because they don't offend white people. I don't piss off white people but they are starting to piss me off because of their tendency to blame others for their own shortcomings. The wall is being put up by people who wish to keep those that vote appeased. It won't solve anything but is easier than trying to fix our public and higher education system. The wall makes no sense because the companies contracting to build it will use illegal immigrant labor to build it, and pocket the difference.

No, because any Canadian with even 1/2 a brain doesn't want to live in America.
