Ask a doctor specialized in allergies. he might give you a series of shots to desensitize. I heard it's more likely to fail than to succeed though and I don't think its worth it. You might want to take a test to see what exactly you are allergic too. Seafood allergy is kind of vague. There are three groups of allergies for seafood. Shellfish, crustaceans, and Finfish. You migth be able to eat fish. Sometimes also you can be allergic to shrimp, but crab and lobster is fine. If you are not allergic to fish, you might be able to eat fake shrimp too, but becareful, because sometimes they add extracts from shrimp or crab to enhance the flavor. Be very careful when you eat these, like be near a hospital with a friend and allergy pills.

There's a new study out where people who are allergic to shellfish were gradually fed teeny bits, then increased over time. Some people did get over their allergy. Ask your doctor if he's heard of it. It's in a controlled environment where they can give you the meds if you have a reaction.
Other than that, you may be SOL.

Obviously your allergic reactions on seafoods are severe, I would suggest to give it up. There are imitation sefood made of Tofu, I heard they are goo and that is the only alternative you can take right . But for sure consult your doctor.
but for now stay away from seafood.

It would be something you and your doctor should discuss. I mean you never know, maybe there's some medication he could give that would prevent that from happening again. But don't eat ANY until you talk to your doctor!

I am sorry to say that it is your fate not to eat them. Ask your doctor if you can take antihistamine before eating a small amount, it may work.

maybe you are just allergic to shell fish and not all seafood's. try a non-shell fish thing, like regular fish or something.

Absolutely you can. Wait until your throat swells up and you suffocate, then you will go to morgue instead of hospital.
