I suggest that, better; you adopt a system restore operation. It is safe and the problems can be rectified. You have to carefully select the date of restore. Ensure that the PC was functioning normally on the selected date for restoration. If you want to know an effective procedure for system restore please visit the following site.

After successful repairs
Delete all temp internet files including off line content, delete all temp files . Go to add/remove progras and delete all programs that are not required. (These can be done in many ways including disc clean up option) Then defrg the PC.
If you are successful then, select a standard antivirus and an anti spy ware and install in your PC so that the problem does not occur again. There are a number of antivirus and anti spyware in the market. Some are free some are to be purchased. Please visit the following site and select a suitable free antivirus.

hi there
how r u?
i wish everything is ok with u.....
we can not say that ur PC has been hacked...but we can say your system has many troubles....and u need to fix them...u really have many choices....
if u have original copy or Microsoft Windows...and you have originally fast connection to Internet...just try to update your system....by the following:
start Menu > Windwos Update. "at the most top portion of the menu"
or ur PC got infected with a virus....
you didnt mention the circumstances just before the problem happens....
i guess that u got electricity off ... or something like that...or as u guessed that u got a virus infection....and it is good to install antivirsu......but not when u already got infected...it is useless...if u strongly feel or already knew that u got a virus...please back up your important documents and reinstall a fresh copy of you system...
and for using XP home while u have XP pro...if u dont have a good bootable CD...we have to notice that we cannot install elder after younger XPs...or lesser after greater....Me is elder than Xp...and Home is lesser than Pro....this is the point of view...
ok?
the best solution in my opinion :
1. back up your important data...
2. just format C: if you have your hard drive partitioned..
3. Install a fresh copy of Windows or whatever system u want.
4.the first thing to do is to install AntiVirus software...
I myself prefer Norton or Mcafee ... I dont trust AVG...
5.update you antivirus software using you internet connection..

Note: dont open any other partition after installing a fresh copy of your system.

6. Virus Scan all your hard drive...Full System Scan...
7. delete all infection files reported...
8. start your work normally...

Note: if u have large capacity hard drive this will take about 5-8 hours may be more.....

if your hard drive is not full...it will take about 3-4 hours may be less.....

the real benefit here is to fix your PC without losing any important Data...

thank you for reading...

I doubt you're being hacked. It sounds to me like a classic case of computer clutter. If you want my advice, back up the documents and files you want to keep, format your hard drive, and reinstall all your stuff from scratch. Your PC will work like new.

well sometimes you can't instal home into a pro computer, so like Buy a new one, once you can't fix it, I suggest DO NOT GET IT REPAIRED all the people i know it never worked for them, and I had to fix it, just try to find a new hard drive for it or change a few things on it or sell it on EBAY and get a NEW one
