by "know" if you mean speak or learn, there are tapes with books in most bookshops(like waterstones) teaching Turkish by self study or there are some dvd's again for people who wants to learn basic Turkish, I think you can get them on ebay and also on www.tulumba.com and when you get there just type in Turkish language and they will all come up, also whaching turkish films with english subtitles works wonders...Good luck...

Turkish is an altaic language thats mean its sound is smilar to korean chinese japan languages

the alphabet is the same as the english alphabet but we have extra letters like C and S has a tick on the bottom, G has a minus ontop, O and U has two dots ontop and i without the dot.
