The biggest pro is free time. I try to take advantage of this between relationships, because I know once I meet somebody, my time goes out the window. I already work long hours in my business, so my free time for my sports and other activities is really valuable.
The other pro is relaxation. Not sure if that is the right word, but I'm more wound up in the beginning of a relationship. There are stressors when you start seeing somebody. The house has to be clean, I'm more careful about what I'm wearing, I'm a little anxious in general because I don't know the person well in the beginning, etc. I'm very very comfortable being single and alone.
The cons are that you don't get the emotional closeness. Sometimes I miss it. But it has to be the right person. Last couple of men were not the right ones for me. I also miss the sex, the intimacy of it. It's easy to masturbate every night, and right now I have a friends with benefits situation with a great guy, but I miss the emotional closeness of intimate sex in a relationship.

Single pros:
- You can concentrate on your own goals, like bettering your career
- You can have more fun and experiences for yourself
- You can spend more time with your parents to make them happy
- Don't have to watch what you do/say all the time, reminding yourself of certain dates....
Single Cons:
- Trying to strike up new relationships can get really tiring
- No closeness, no one to share your thoughts with
- It's rather easy being responsible to yourself, but being responsible for others is a bigger challenge. Having a successful relationship gives you a great sense of achievement because you show that you can put aside your own wants for the sake of someone else.

Whilst single you can please yourself, not have to worry about how your actions affect someone else. You feel free and independant. In a good relationship you can share things, there's someone who is always on your side and who makes you feel special.
Personally at the moment I prefer being single......I like the freedom.
