How can I find out if a friend from the past who is in the military is OK?

We used to be very close back in 1997 in Puerto Rico until he went to Texas for training and haven't heard from him again. He has been on my mind since 9/11 and don't know how to find out if he's ok. His name is Alexander L. Poutou. Just want to know if he and his family are doing well.

register to www.military.com and they have a friend finder there where you may be able to search for him.
