Or…
Re-ask this question- ask it 4 times for each branch.
Each branch definitely has its own personality.
I was in the army reserves, but my AIT was 1 year long... and my school taught all the branches.
I saw how the Air Force had air conditioners in the barracks where the Army did not.
I saw the Marines running in combat boots, where the army and Air Force used trainers (sneakers)
Also, the physical requirements are different for each branch. The Air Force had lesser physical requirements then the Army, and I believe the Marines may have had more strict guidelines then the army.
Also, the mental attitude is different from one to another.
I have heard the Marines are not as family friendly as the other branches. I think the quote was:
"If the Marines wanted you to have a wife, they would have issued you one"
I don't have much to say about Navy since I didn't see much of those guys (only 1 building in the quad- everyone else had camo on!!
Reask this question geared towards each of the branches.
Since all my time was spent in AIT during Gulf-one..(The War stared while I was in Basic and was over before I graduated!!!)
I would not be the best to tell you if army was good to go or not, but I will say, you need to find the branch that is more suited to what you want to accomplish in your life.
You will get a different experience from each of them.
Choose well.

You need to ask yourself what type of daily job are you interested in? Since you're female, you can't enlist for "direct" combat roles. But many "non-combat" jobs can put you in harms way.
I'll use a specific job as an example. Pharmacy technician (or specialist).
The Army will guarantee you specific training as a pharmacy specialist (68Q). The Navy will train you as a medic and require you to reenlist to get the more specific pharmacy training, so does the Air Force. Of course, the Marines use Navy medical personnel, so it's a moot point with them. This is just one example.
This may not mean as much if you want to make the military a career, but if you want to get training and college money and get out after 3 or 4 years, the Army's your best bet. There are hundreds of MOS you can choose from. If it's a needed skill, you may even be able to pick a duty station other than SW Asia!
Go to the websites and do your own research.

I chose Navy because my family was a Navy family and I like the water. The Air Force is where the officers do most of the combat, Marines and Army are right up front. Coast Guard is a good alternative and stay close to home. So really it is what you want and where you want to go. Good luck.

My father was a Marine, but he said if he had to choose again, he'd choose the Navy. He said you can be killed but you're usually not injured, and in the meantime you have a warm bed to sleep in every night.
On Saturday Night Live, they said the new Navy slogan was, "Iraq: it's mostly landlocked"!

Find out about all 4 and the job opportunities in each, then decide what you want to do and choose. Good luck! P.S. - my wife is in the NAVY.

Why not the CIA instead? You get the adventure of the military and a good career opportunity too.

My daughter chose the Navy. My father was career Air Force, and I served 7 years active duty Air Force. I have 2 nephews who are Marine officers, and their mother is a Naval officer. We ALL thoroughly enjoy/d our time in the service. How much excitement do you want? Air Force-tame. Army-just plain stupid and dirty. Navy-fun and exciting. Marines-scary. Hope that helps. Best of luck.

Talk to all the recruiters. They'll all lie to you, but it should give you an idea.
