My son wanted one and was quite disappointed that I would not let him skip school to wait in the line. Here (chicago area) people were in line for 2 to 3 days waiting to get one. The people buying them on the internet were crazier in my opinion then the campers. (3k for a 700 dollar item~ UNREAL!)
I told him that in January we would be tripping over them in the stores and that we would pick up one then. Imagine my surprise when I went to walmart a few days BEFORE xmas and there were about 7 of the ps3's (20gig) inside the counter. I bought one for him and that made the surprise that much better as he is obviously old enough to know that Santa could not fit one down the chimney. I would NEVER wait in a line longer than an hour or so for any toy that I had to PAY for! Just like I predicted, there are ps3 in nearly every store I have visited this week. IF another system comes out like that with limited supplies, he will get a gift card to pick it up when they are in stock!
People were getting hit in the head and having them stolen ~ just to dangerous for my tastes...
Kudos to the mothers that did
My son pretty well knows by now that I probably would NEver wait in line for 3 days for a toy!
The parents were worse for that tickle me elmo tmx
my nephew played with it for about 6 minutes
