It all depends upon what you're looking for in a honeymoon. do you want peace and quiet or lots of action in the towns?

I've been to St. Thomas...it's nice, but St. John next to it is nicer and quieter. St. Lucia...where we stayed had a wedding every half hour it seemed in an all inclusive spot, sorry but I forget the place where we stayed. The weddings were driving us nuts! All you heard was "here comes the bride".

Check out iBtraveling.com's Caribbean page and you'll find your answer there. The Caribbean link is located on the left hand side under states, mexico ... click on Caribbean.

Best wishes to you both!

That would depend on what you're looking to do on your honeymoon. My sister got married in Cayman Island and it's beautiful there. They have crystal clear waters, great fishing and friendly locals. If you want to snorkel or want to do a lot of activities with water, it's great! There aren't any locals hasseling you to buy things, it's rather peaceful. Downside is, the nightlife is minimal as everything shuts down early.

St. Lucia infastructure is not delveloped and can't travel to and from easily. Sewage system smells too and you can see sand flies on the beaches.

I've visited over half of the carribean islands and I would definitely recommend the Cayman Islands for your honeymoon.

it depends so much on what your personal preference is. If you like everthing handed to you on a platter, shopping and casinos and to be isolated from the local population, you should stick to the all-in-one commercial package resorts. But if you like getting out and experiencing the variety and character of a new place and enjoy exploring the beauty of a unique environment, I would recommend the British Virgin Islands, though they are somewhat expensive (Little Dix Bay and Biras Creek are examples). Many travel professionals prefer Virgin Gorda in the BVI as their first choice for a quiet, luxurious honeymoon. For good value, beauty and seclusion plus opportunities to do other things (like diving, snorkelling, kayaking), check out the Carambola Beach Resort on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. You don't even need a passport. The suites are lovely and romantic, it's on a private beach and has an on-site spa, dive shop and a great bar and restaurants. Plus it is less than 30 minutes to the town of Christiansted with shopping and clubs. I was there last month and it was like paradise.

You are asking for the English speaking island of Dominca not the spanish speaking island Dominican Republic.2 different caribbean countriees. The island of Dominica is situtaed between the 2 french islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.

We focus on Eco tourism so therefore there is a wide range of accomdation that is very far away nestled in the mountain tops or in valleys or near rivers or even in the rainforest itself while enjoying the simplicities and serenity of REAL nature itslef-ideal for a honeymoon. You may have not known about ths country Dominica beacsue we are not over commercialised and is considered the best kept secret of the caribbean. Most villas or condos away from it all provide tours to other sites so its your choice if you want to go on tours to the many many beautiful nature spots or just stay and relax every day in your private villa. The websites i provide will give u all accomadation just click on the ones suiting you ..those like "Jungle bay resort".......This is what you are loking for Trust me . It will have to the english speaking island of Dominica not the spanish speaking Dominican Republic-dont be mistaken. Its the perfect Destination For honeymoon because:
1.Its not overcrowded by tourists and the country is not overcommercialised meaning its very private and was termed as the best kept secret of the caribbean
2.Excellent nature(not man made) spots making not only unique which is important, but absolutely beautiful backdrops for photos.
3.The country focuses on eco tourism-that means there is one of a kind accomadation. That which is nestled in the rainforests itself among nature on the beautiful mountains and valleys near rivers and lakes and natural sulpher spas.
4.Many activities to do also .Jus a few to mention.Bathing/visiting one of the 365 rivers, visiting our fresh water lakes, countless waterfalls, hiking on one of our anceint trails.hiking to one of our mountains or even our famous boiling lake(which is the 2nd largest in the WORLD largest f its kind and on;y ne in teh wstern hemsisphere)),Horse back riding, snorkelling we got unpolluted waters.Infact the entire country is basically unpolluted/untarnished that is the reason why it is still so unbeliveable green and beautiful-more than the other counties and was considered the only place Columbus would recognise if he would return.
Picture that lovely honeymoon alone in the most romantic place on earth amongst nature itslef waking to bird's symphonies and breathing fresh air. There are other hotels in the town areas but the great thing about this country you can choose the kind of accomodation you want. If its to get away from it all or if you want to be in the town or near the beach etc .
The island of Dominica is perfect for Honeymooners as this island takes you away from the everyday you can literally escape from it all and live among nature right next besides you with hardly or any disturbance at all except for the sweet symphonies of birds and trees etc..After all isnt that what honeymooners want?Romantic time together away from the world? In Sweet subtle Paradise.Isnt it supposed to be a one ina life time unforgettable Experience? The island emphasises eco tourism rather than the stereotyped Sun Sand and sea tourism where beaches are flocked and the same service and packages are offered agian and again. With the island emphaisising on ecotourism EXCELLENT accomadation nestled in the rainforests themselves exist with spa and so fourth .You can go to www.junglebaydominica.com or www.cocoacottages.com among tonnes of others. If u wann have an overview of the island go to www.dominica.dm & www.visit-dominica.com.These websites will give you all the necassary links to accomdation, pictures of the island and almost anything you need.I say again If its real beauty you want you should not settle for any other island.

St. Barth's! We have been going every year now since our first trip in 1999. It's an addictive place!!! The airport code is SBH if you want to look it up. It is VERY expensive, but worth every euro you will be spending here!
The beaches are beautiful (Saline is my fav!)
The food is incredible!
