One thing that i have to stress is you never forget someone whom has shared a portion of your life with you. But you can go on...... in fact that's about all you can do, throw yourself into your work!go to other places than you,ve gone in the past!basically start over again! Its not easy but you can do it!its a brand new year!time to shed the old coat and get busy getting to know you again! because there,s always tomorrow to start over again, things will never stay the same the only one sure thing is change, that's why there,s always tomorrow !and just remember in every negative there's always a positive just around the corner! head up and remember it gets easier as time passes! happy new year blessed be!

Well first of all ,why do you want to forget somebody who has been important to you? Memory is not something you want to forget. You need to forgive them for what-ever the reason and if they are no longer that important-----THERE is your answer!!! Move on and occupy yourself with doing things with and for other persons. and Pray. That always helps! God Bless and good luck.

hey sad,

you can try to run away or move to another state, but depending on how important they were to you, you will never forget or perhaps you may just be able to go great lengths of time without thinking of that important person. I don't think you can completely forget someone without being amnesic. Good luck, u probably will not want to forget about him or her after all.

Find something to occupy your time. Maybe volunteer to help with something at your church/school/work. Find a new friend online and/or wherever and talk to them, get to know him/her and become good friends. I have met 3 people in person whom I met online, and they turned out to be great people. To forget someone who is important is not a very easy task as they are important to you. As soon as you have another important person in your life, trust me, you will forget that important person. Good luck!

They say that time cures all ills. I happen to agree. It may take a while, but it gets easier every day. If you're talking about a romantic relationship, you will meet some one else someday that will be the most wonderful person you ever met and you'll forget all about your ex. Watch the movie "Swingers." It touches that subject very well.

I understand what you are going through. I've had an experience similar to that and it is the hardest thing to get out of your mind. Just try to keep busy, go out and have fun, and every time that person comes to mind, force it out. Start singing, talking or anything to get the memory out or you will be saddened from the urge to see them. I wish you luck as I know what you have to deal with.

You will never be able to completely forget this person, believe me, I know.

What you CAN do to make things a little less painful is to get rid of everything that reminds you of this person. They will still be in your mind, but they will not be in your life.

This is a difficult question to answer because we don't know who or why they are important or why you want to forget them.... you might want to talk to a counselor in your school, or some wise adult you know.
