Yes, unfortunately we are grossly lacking family values, especially with nuclear families. both the parents are busy, both working and trying to run the family. Both parents are irritable, angry and argumentative. The children are neglected. There is no culture, only you desperately make both ends meet. The children feel neglected and lack roots and they are not aware what culture and values are. Well we live in a world were we hanlde everything to another day. For most people family comes first, but there are soo many and only a certain amount that actually mean "Family First!" They usually don't have time for it, if you came from a very family oriented background then you usually never lack family values, but if you came from a family that doesnt really have any type of values then of course your going to lack them. To me no matter what family does come first, if it ment that I had to quit my job just to be with my family more, then I will do it because I know that friends come and go but family is forever, weather you like it or not. In the end it really depends on the type of family you came from.
