I'm going to be busy in the morning and I usually don't have time to go out to a fast food place to eat while on the job. I wanted to know was it ok to let the chicken wings marinate in hot sauce over night for mabey about 7 hours?

Yes, sure you can do it, and do u know that for best results, after marinate the chicken, fish or meat, keep it in the fridge at least for 8 hours(it is always recommended )

It is fine if you let them sit over night. just use different , new sauce for dipping when you are eating them. Marinateing is fine but for sure check the vin. content. makes the chicken sour, yukie. If you were to toss them and put on a pan to throw in the oven when you get home with one more tos in the sauce will work very well also.

As long as your refrigerator is below 40 degrees, which it should be, you wiil be fine. The dangerous temperatures for food are between 40 and 140 degrees F. These temperatures are the most dangerous for bacteria to grow. You can marinade other meats like beef like that too. Adds a little zest by marinating.

Yep. I usually like to marinate most chicken for about 5 or 6 hours.

That's why the refrigerator was invented, my friend. Try it. The longer you marinate meat, the more flavor will seep into/inside the meat. The result, even tastier chicken.

to ensure freshness, according to the food safety system in the hotel i work in and also complying with HACCP..

ambient temperature = 4 hours
chiller(fridge) = 48 hours
freezer = 5 days

anything beyond that is not fresh unless properly sealed..

Just hot sauce? It would probably be ok as long as the hot sauce doesn't have vinegar in it.
