According to the law, if he is actually found in possession of something illegal, or illegally obtained, he is breaking the law. It does not matter if it belonged to someone else, was left in his car, or any other situation. If he had it, he can be charged with it and there is nothing you can do about it.

What to do? Sorry you aren't going to like my answer, but do nothing unless you are going to try to help him with an attorney.

Before being able to answer this question more information is needed. From the way you asked the question sounds like drugs maybe stolen property. He is responsible for the things he owns or rents so if it was in his car or home he holds some responsibility and it would help if the owner of the illegal object fessed up. If he received stolen property well the law states that ignorance of the law is not a defense. Definitely talk to a lawyer

Not sure what the circumstances are. You did not provide much information. The best thing to do is find out the whole story, not just your brother's, and find a lawyer. Remember, in most cases it does not matter if he did it personally, but if he had a hand in it then he is just as guilty.
