I am against it, too. It is our second amendment right. Here are a few quotes from Thomas Jefferson:
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms..disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one."
"The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it."
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"
(My thoughts exactly.)

On one hand, I think it's a right we all have to protect ourselves from robbers and rapists. On the other, I am against it. My reasons for being against it are the two who went on a shooting spree, and then the anonymous person who shot a muslim woman who only had a scarf on while she was walking in her neighborhood to pick up her child from school in front of the three year old child with her. Intolerance and hatred are enough of an excuse to have gun control because ignorant bigots tend to go on power trips and think they are God and believe they are entitled to kill a woman for refusing to show off her body to him.

Gun IS a dangerous weapon.
We can only find 1 good thing good about it and the rest 9 reasons are why we should not have gun.
I agree with gun control as long as government also provide stability and peaceful environment
Then we will never need any gun.

leave it alone. if you take guns from home owners then anyone can take the U.S. at anytime. Guns in the hands of Americans keep the U.S. enemy's at bay. why do you think that the terrorist only hit in places that normal U.S. people don't have guns, ex. planes, buses, etc. And that they do suicide bombings so that they can take as many people with them as possible be cause any other way they will get taken down faster then the police could get the authorization to take them out. a citizen would here terrorist and kill them before the gov. could act on there demands and the terrorist would get few if not none killed. you see.

And this connects to this section how?
A gun is just a physical object that is a two edged sword as it can be used two ways.
It the idiot using it the wrong way that you have to beware of . Just like driving a car its the idiots behind the wheel that are the danger.

i think the odds of you finding and discharging your gun into the head of an intruder who has a gun too are low. i think if he wants to kill you in your sleep he will. guns should be taken away. who needs them other than felons? stop selling ammunition, then the felons won't have much use for their guns. guns=death. that is what they were created for.
EDIT:
you militant people are scary. if you want to shoot people go to iraq and fight the illegal war. keep guns out of america!

We're going to be needing guns, and to control the ownership is ludicrous.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Gun control laws only serve to take weapons out of the hands of law abiding citizens - not criminals who acquire their weapons illegally. Personally, I shouldn't be allowed a gun - road rage, shopping-trolley rage, queue rage, and stupid-people rage...

I think criminals shouldn't be allowed to have them and law abiding citizens should be allowed to have them and carry them anywhere they go. After a gun safety course... Of course the criminals aren't criminals because they obeyed the law are they?
