If you're on a huge budget, try the Freecycle website for your county or town (found through Yahoo groups). This is a site where no money can be exchanged (yes, everything is totally free and I've seen people find these there). You could also try Goodwill.com , your local goodwill store, or just try sales areas at Bridal shops in your area.

David's Bridal, Ebay, or try a consignment shop. If you want something a little more simple, try department stores like Dillards. They have their Christmas and New Year's dresses on sale right now and quite a few that I saw were in white and ivory. Good luck.

Another option at this time of year is to look at local stores prom collections which often include white gowns that could be suitable for wedding gowns at lower prices.

www.bridalonlinestore.com, www.houseofbrides.com, www.betsbridalprices.com. Also try using a comparison site like BizRate.com or Shop.com (or yahoo shopping) to compare prices. Informal are always cheaper than big poofy formal gowns.
