I know the town well, or did. Born there and the Saturday market I was talking to the Mr. about just the other day. Just one of my hang out spots as a teenager.
I did take the Mr. that way last year. OMG it has changed so much!!
It is not the town it was when I moved away. So big, so many one way roads. I got lost taking him through hwy 99 to a friends parents home we have not seen in forever (good thing we went to see them, she is aged and has many health problems). My mom still lives out that way and works in East Eugene.
I miss the campus, and that side of town the market is on. I do not miss the traffic. We are in Central Oregon now.
Just reminded me to call over there today lol!

I know my girlfriend is a Eugene-ite. I LOVE the Saturday market - the Hempenberry Chocolate and Honey in Straws are amazing.
I also know it's a good place to kick back, relax and watch the world go by.
I'm in Belfast, Ireland, and will be back in April in Eugene. I get homesick for there too but I'm not from there. But I will move there in the next 18 months!

I am always encouraging people here to try it out!!
Lived in the area for nearly 25 years, and come back and visit several times a year (all my kids and grandkids still live there).
