Drink loads of water because this will fill you up and reduce those cravings.
Eat low-GI foods such as anything whole meal, like wholemeal bread, pasta and cereals. Because they're low gi means it takes longer for your stomach to break them down which means you'll feel fuller for longer.
Don't try and eat sugary and high GI food such as white bread etc(do research on high GI foods) because after eating them, because your stomach breaks them down fast, you'll start feeling hungry again.
If you're hungry eat. But eat something healthy like fruit and nut and keep your proportions small.
Eat something high in Protein for breakfast like eggs and yogurt. It'll make you fuller for longer.
Eat something healthy every 3 hours to keep your metabolism up.
Keep a list on what you eat. This makes sure you know what you're feeding yourself and keep track of your diet.
Write down your goals and think about them everytime you think you want junk. And think about why they're called "JUNK"
Think positive and think how you'll surprise everyone by how great you look.
Don't forget to exercise too. Walking just for 30 min a day will help but the more the better. Because when you exercise you build muscles, and the more muscles you have the more fat you burn, faster. Go get dumbells and do resistance training.
Don't forget. Drink plenty of water, think positive and exercise.
Good Luck!

If you're not getting the right nutrients from a balanced diet, your body will be telling you that you need something more. That's what all cravings are - messages to you that you're not getting what you need.
You might want to rethink your diet. I've found the best method of weight loss is simply smaller portions of everything. Don't count calories, don't obsess over "healthy" foods. Sure, get plenty of fruits, vegetables, protein, etc, but don't skimp on the good stuff.
Check out the food pyramid. It's a great reminder of what you need. Remember, junk food is on the top and counts! Just eat it sparingly.

Why do you want the junk food?
is it:
Munchies?
You always eat a snack at a certain time?
Chocolate cravings?
Because it's something "naughty"?
(I read an article that said
when people are told to "stay away" it makes them want it more- it crosses all lines of behavior, including diets.)
Munchies:
My fave- get a microwave popping bowl and pop oil free popcorn. use the "I can't believe it's not butter" spray. zero calories- really good tasting- and cheap around a $1 a bottle. The parkay brand is comparable and a few cents cheaper.
Go into the rice cake isle of your supermarket. Those things have come a long way baby!!!
They are GREAT! There are also soy crisps. My toddler won't let me have a bag of of them to myself. They come in sour cream, Cheddar cheese and ranch!
Try the brand name sugar free Popsicles- very good, we buy these even for non diet times.
Chocolate cravings:
Blue bunny puts out this splenda fudge bar that is to die for.
Try sugar free instant pudding in a box made with skim milk.
and you can top it off with the new sugar free cool whip.
Naughtiness:
I know this may sound odd, but when you do get these sugar free goodies loaded in your fridge, only eat them when no one is looking. It will make you feel like you got away with something- also, if they don't' know you have them, they won't SHARE with you.
Also try: coke Zero- with (splenda)
Try diet Dr pepper- it tastes the closest to the sugar version then any of the other "Diet" versions taste to their originals

don't buyit. if it's not there you can't snarf it up. research what is in some of your favorite junk foods like hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup. those things will damage your health in a worse way than getting fat. think of the really bad stuff as an unclean, potentially fatal drug. then it'll scare you enough to stay away from it. that's not to say i wouldn't kill for a twinkie right now- chemicals and all!
by the way ignore the food pyramid which was created to make the big corporations (who lobby the gov) rich by over encouraging grains. we could live very healthy lives without grains. and the grains we should eat are the ones that are hardly processed and barely edible.

My best trick when I am on a diet is to chew sugar free gum anytime I get a craving for something sweet and to drink a lot of water. The water will make you feel full and the gum will take care of that sugar hankering that you had. It has always worked for me, I still use this technique now to avoid cheesecake cravings.

We all crave junk food sometimes, and sometimes it's OK to have a little junk food - but only a little. If you want to snack on cookies, for example, there's nothing that says you can't be happy with one or two cookies. Actually, I suggest having something tasty and nutritious instead of salty-sweet-fatty treats. Be creative.

eliminate each of the biscuits and muffins that are contained in the homestead. ignore about how a lot it value, basically throw all of it contained in the bin. purchase your self a huge bag of raisins/dried fruit and whenever you get a yearning for junk food, snack on the fruit. they're extremely sweet besides it really is sweet ;) in case you pick some thing crunchy try banana chips or nuts. you are able to snack away...nicely in monderation besides...and by no ability experience so accountable afterwards!

Being on a diet is not about depriving yourself. It's about controlling your portions. If you crave something, allow yourself to eat a small portion of it say once a week, or twice a month. And go for a walk, or go for a jog so that you don't feel guilty, and you burn the calories away.
That's what I do!

There is a withdrawal period, from 3 days to 2 weeks, depending on the person. During this time, try a veggy plate with low-cal dressing, or cranberries, or pumpkin seeds from the health food store. And drink lots of PURE water--NOT THE CRAP FROM THE TAP. Best of luck.

Once you eat only healthy fresh foods for a while, you will stop craving processed junk.
