or do u just need to get a new piece of jewelry? is it like a belly button or ear piercing where they will pretty much always have the hole there if youve worn jewelry there for more than a few years?

Because of the delicate nature of the piercing, I would suggest going to a piercer and having them take a look at it to avoid the risk of trying to re-insert the jewelry and having the skin tear. A professional piercer would be able to taper a piece of jewelry through is the piercing is not completely closed safely, and they can also re-pierce it if necessary. I usually charge 10$ for a taper of a previous piercing, but it varies by shop.

Good luck

Chances are you will have to re-pierce it (ouchy)

I would suggest gently trying to find a hole, but do not force jewelry in, if you do, you might hurt yourself...so have a professional piercer help you with that. If it won't go it, it won't go in and there is little that can be done there. I took mine out and after a week it was noticeably healed, after 4 weeks I wasn't able to find a hole at all.

Oh, please don't compare ears to clitoral hoods. The two areas are very different and the hood is much more active tissue (more blood flow) and quicker healing than any ear lobe or navel.

I would imagine that the hole would close relatively quickly. I take my lip ring out for work, (roughly 8 hours,) and I sometimes have a hard time getting it back in at the end of the day.

I think the true test would be to see if the jewelry will go back in. If it won't, or if the hole has gotten too small, you would need to have it re-pierced or stretched back to the original gauge.

If the original one will not go back in, try a smaller ring and work up to your original gage.
Good Luck.

It really depends on your body. But in 6-weeks time, more than likely it is closed.

well it depends if you have tried to put the jewelry back in and it wont go in...chances are that it has healed up and you need to get it repierced.

please tell me you have internally threaded jewelry....if not...then OUCH for trying to put the jewelry back in.
