There could be two scenarios here:
1. He is shy and couldn't say yes that he liked you and you caught him off guard.
2. He doesn't want a relationship right now.
It is strange that men usually say they will sleep on it. Sometimes that is good, because men get a chance to think about their answer and come up with a good answer the next day. Hopefully, this is the case. If he sleeps on it and calls you the next day with an answer, you will have to wait for the answer. If he doesn't call, then he slept on it, and doesn't want a relationship at the moment. Good luck.

It doesn't matter how "cute" someone is, if the chemistry isn't there, it isn't there.
Sounds like he isn't too awfully interested or he has someone else he is interested in.
But what is your question, anyway? Do we think he should sleep on it or what?
Get over your huge crush, and find someone that is more available.
