They usually don't get over 6 pounds. But there are teacup Yorkies and they are tiny.

it's going to depend on the parents. never get a pet from a petstore period. and find and research a reputable breeder. if you cannot see where the pup was raised and at least one parent do not get a pup there. and by seeing at least one parent you can get an idea of the size of the pup.


do not buy a teacup yorkie. yorkie's are a toy dog. teacup is a trendy name bad breeder use to get unknowing buyers in to make a buck. often anything advertised as teacup is the result of breeding of abnormally small parents that should have never been bred. and it's done so make money. these dogs are meant to be small. a breeder that sells teacup yorkie's often will sell you a pup that is going to be expensive medically and not very sound and healthy.

They are sweet little dogs! I have never see a Yorkie over 6 pounds.

It depends on what type of yorkie, anywhere from 2 lbs to 15lbs.

There are tea cups, minis, toys, standards and now people are claiming there are "giants".
