Vaseline
Another Great Use for Vaseline
I already shared with you how great an eye makeup remover Vaseline (or generic petroleum jelly) is. But it also works on chapped lips. Slick on a lot of Vaseline on your lips, then using a fresh toothbrush (not the one you use every day), massage the Vaseline into your lips. This will get rid of dry, scaly dead skin & will leave your lips soft & chap-free.
Vaseline Petroleum Jelly Cream
(not the regular petroleum jelly)
I use this stuff so much. You can put it on any part of your body, and it makes your skin so soft. It even makes your elbows feel nice! Not many products do that.
If you're interested in getting more bang for your buck from your next trip to the drugstore, you might consider picking up a tub of Vaseline. By far, Vaseline is the cheapest cosmetic item in the world, but many people do not realize that petroleum jelly has a slew of beauty uses. Trust me on this one, it's not just for your lips! Here are a few of the ways that I use the old blue topped stand-by:
Eye makeup remover: As someone who only occasionally wears eye makeup, it really doesn't make sense for me to have a separate eye makeup remover on hand for the off chance that I might need it. Instead, I smear a generous goop of Vaseline on my eyelids and wipe it off with a cotton makeup pad. Voila! no more makeup.
Eyebrow tamer: Beauty editors want you to think that you need to purchase a separate brow gel to keep your arches in place during the day. But what I've found is that applying a little bit of Vaseline to a clean mascara brush is a great way to instantly tame your brows.
Mascara: As I've already mentioned, mascara is not my favorite thing to put on everyday. But since my eyelashes are blond, I do find that coating my top lashes gives them a little bit more definition than they would have on their own.
Lip gloss base: Do you have a lipstick that you love but which it was in a lighter formulation? Well, one easy way to double your color options is to take a slice of lipstick and mix it in a pill tin to make your own custom lip gloss.
Want your eyeshadow to last all day? It's simple and
inexpensive! Before you apply your favorite eyeshadow, put a thin layer of Vaseline on your eyelids.

BABY OIL
Subject: beauty Exfoliating rubs can often be pricey...a cheap and very effective use of sugar mixed with a little baby oil (just enough to make it damp) works very well. The use of sugar instead of sea salts which is most often used, eliminates the burn from the salt and can be used right after shaving. --
Sensational Spring Time Foot Scrub
Combine these ingrediants in a foot bath or large bowl:
2 Oranges sliced in rings, a cup of baby oil (if you are out of baby oil use vegitable oil) and, a cup of epsom salt or sea salt. Soak your feet for 10-20 minutes. Rub the orange slices all over your feet.
baby oil tip
Mixing it with a touch of your favorite bubble bath will create a lovely bathwash.
Use after shaving your legs to soften your skin and prevent razor burn
Use on cracked or dry heals and put socks on to hold in the moisture
Use a small amount to bring out the sheen in your wooden furniture
Massage a little on your cuticles before your manicure or pedicure
Using before going in the sun can increase your likelihood of sunburn or suntan (beware of uva/uvb rays. This is not endosed behaviour!)
Babyoil makes a good personal lubricant (but can damage profylactics)
Great and inexpensive massage oil
Great lubricant for noisy door hinges!
Gets rid of temporary tattoos in a snap.
Olive OIL:
Cuticles and nails: If your cuticles are ragged and your nails brittle and dry, olive oil can help! Soak nails for 30 minutes in a small cup of olive oil.
Hands: Smooth on a generous amount of olive oil before bed, put on white cotton gloves, and go to sleep. Your hands will be softer and smoother in the morning!
Lips: To soothe and smoothe dry, chapped lips, dab on a little olive oil.
Hair treatment: This helps repair split ends, heals dandruff, and makes your hair shiny, silky, and lustrous. Massage a few tablespoons of olive oil into scalp and hair. Cover hair with a plastic bathing cap and leave on for 30 minutes or more, then shampoo as usual.
Skin: Massage a small amount of olive oil into skin whenever you need softening and moisturizing. Apply extra oil to rough or cracked areas.
Bath: Add several tablespoons of olive oil to your bath, along with a few drops of your favorite essential oil, to soothe and nourish your skin.
Helpful Hints:
Always use the purest olive oil available. Usually, this means organic extra-virgin expeller-pressed olive oil.

Olive Oil: Beauty Tips For the Skin
There is a multitude of evidence indicating that a diet based on olive oil can promote a longer life and prevent diseases such as cancer and heart conditions. But did you know that olive oil is also a rich source of antioxidants, which helps slow down the aging process as well as offer a number of other cosmetic benefits. By adding olive oil to your beauty regimen, you can smooth out your skin, condition your hair, strengthen your nails, and more. Incorporate these simple kitchen cupboard beauty tips into your daily routine and notice the difference:
Mix ½ cup olive oil, ¼ cup vinegar, and ¼ cup water to make a night cream that will leave your skin glowing. The olive oil will help soften and moisturize your skin and the vinegar will lighten slight discolorations, kill bacteria and exfoliate dead skin cells.
Create your own facemask with extra virgin olive oil and good quality clay mud or avocado. Mix well, apply to face for five to 10 minutes, and rinse.
Give yourself a facial. Wet your face, massage olive oil onto your skin, scrub your face with half a teaspoon of sugar, and wipe off gently with a warm, wet cloth.
Rub olive oil onto your elbows, knees, heels, or other dry spots to immediately feel softer and smoother.
Use two to three tablespoons of olive oil in a bath and come out feeling silky all over.
Condition your hair. Put a dime-sized drop of olive oil into your palm, rub both hands together, and lightly apply to dry, frizzy hair.
Rub olive oil on your feet and put on a pair of thick, which cotton socks to help soften up your tootsies.
Soak you fingernails into a bowl of warm olive oil to smooth out cuticles and strengthen nails.
Melt some olive oil with beeswax and use it as lip balm or just pat a little oil directly on your lips.
This treatment repairs split ends, helps with dandruff, and makes your hair shiny, and silky.
1)Simply take a couple of tablespoons of olive oil between your palms and rub them together to warm it a bit.
2)Then massage the oil into your scalp.
3)Take the remaining oil on your hands and spread it down from the scalp to the end of your hair.
4) Put a shower cap on and leave it on for about 25-30 minutes.
5) Shampoo as usual.
I love simple solutions. Don’t you?

Bath Salt Recipes
There is nothing quite as versatile as bath salts. They can be made in every color of the rainbow, can be scented to your personal preference, and if you want them to bubble or fizz, that can be done as well. And did I mention, your salts can be as fine as table salt or as large as beach pebbles?
Acne
(submitted by visitor) I get rid of a pimple completely overnight, or about 1 to 2 days, (depending on how severe the blemish). Pop your pimple. by sliding the edge of something, across it, and poping it. Then 1/4 fill your sink with warm water, and pour about a half cup of salt to the water. Take a cotton ball or cotton square or round, and soak it in the salty water for about 30 seconds, moving it around in the water getting it good and salty. Take it out and squeeze out the water. Apply the cotton ball to pimple, and push down. if it doesn't tingle, put more salt on the cotton ball. When it does tingle, push down for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, DO NOT WASH OFF THE SALT THAT STAYS ON YOUR FACE!!! Take Some honey and drop it on a Q-tip. Apply honey to pimple and leave on for 15 mintes. After 15 min is up, rinse off with water. Then apply a dab of toothpaste and leave overnight... That's it!!! Odd i know, but i works!!

Dry Hand Remedy
When I was a surgical assistant, my hands used to get very dry
from the surgical scrub and powder from the gloves. This is a
trick I learned that works great to make your hands feel
wonderful! You will be amazed at the results, however temporary
they may be.
Mix in your palm one each of the following:
1. Something oily (vaseline, olive oil, baby oil, etc)
2. Something grainy (sugar, salt, etc)
3. A touch of liquid soap (hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, etc)
Now wet your hands and simply rub your hands gently together (as
if you are washing them) for a minute or so, then rinse with warm
water. Be gentle! Finally, follow with the lotion of your choice.
Your hands will be silky smooth!
EnjoY and hope that gave you a few Ideas=)
