For one I hear it falling on my house alot, so I've gotten used to the sound because of it. It's the same thing with the wind for me, but anyways I love the wind so I guess you could say I'm in tuned with the wind & rain. Also I could look out the window just as easy to find out. =)

put a dry large rock outside if it stays dry then its not raining. if it gets wet then its raining.
