There is no difference between the two because you need friendship to have love. But love is A deeper emotion and yall bonded more together. Friendship has it's advantages ,but your not as open as in love. The advantage of friendship, no strings attached.

True love is all about sacrifice. So there is nothing wrong in loving your friend. Its so sad todays generation is not able to distinguish between love and lust. The first thing is about sacrificing to see the person you love happy. There is no gender involved in it. Its something you can have for all other living beings on the face of this planet. But you never expect anything back other than the person's happyness. The later is about possession. You cannot afford to lose the person. And you too expect the person to be interested in you. one major Difference i can make out is...
Possessiveness comes in Love but not in True Friendship.
(i am talking when two diffrent genders are involved)
If you are Possessive about someone then it's definetly more than friendship, this does not mean that you are in love.... but you are on the way..... ;-)
