well...i have myself a 06 Focus SE with a few nice features like power windows, locks, remote entry system , 6 in dash mp3 cdplayer, the safety package and and i bought it brand new for $10400 plus license and taxes in may and the car is very fuel efficient and reliable I have taken it to Las Vegas five times already and it runs really good the only thing that i recommend you is that if you buy it from the dealer dont buy the ford alarm because it doesnt work well on the focus but anyhow my focus has 10500 miles and it's fun to drive....im thinking about trading it in for a Fusion because it is bigger and has more features....and is also cheap...i almost forgot the 08 focus is redesigned check it out @ allcarwallpapers.com

Good car for the money, very fuel efficient, easy parking and turn radius. Large trunk room. They are nice cars overall, they have a few down sides, but overall it really depends on the condition of the one you are looking at. Check the front tires to look for a wear pattern, to see if the car needs an alignment, have a look at the breaks also, if they are bad the dealer has to replace them as a safety item covered for 30 days or 3,000 miles whichever comes first. One of the bigger draw backs for the car is interior size, yes someone over 6' tall fits in the front, but you'll never be able to get anyone behind them in the back seat. The cars acceleration isn't the fastest, but you get good fuel mileage to make up for it. Overall they aren't a bad buy. You may want to wait until summer though, they are coming out with the new model for the focus. There was an article this morning about the new design. The 500's are also changing.
Good luck.

I checked them in 04 and I thought compared to some of the other comparable cars it seemed a bit tinney. I ended up with the Hyandaui Elantra. Just my opinion. we've also had 4-5 Fords in the family and the maintance done at the dealer is always very expensive.

I heard from owners they are junk and plagued with problems. It replaced the Aspire which I owned which was an excellent car. Too bad they couldn't keep up the same quality with the Focus. Own a Lincoln LS now...great car.

I hate the body style and think it's one of Ford's ugliest vehicles. Get a V6 Mustang instead. Cheap on gas AND insurance. If you don't have a good driving record, a 4 cylinder car would be cheaper yet. Good luck on your purchase.
