I have been dating someone long distance since June. He disappeared for a month and popped up again. I confronted the issue and asked if there was another girl. He said we are both free. I just told him that I want a relationship with one person and he said that we live far apart and I am strange. He always calls and is excited to hear from me and has talked about a future with me. Am I strange for wanting to be with one person even if we live far apart? I got upset because he told me he loved me and I have said the same to him. He said there are a lot of things he doesn't like about the way I am and "maybe we will talk in about a year". I am really hurting right now. I feel like my heart has been torn apart from someone who has always act like he was so in love with me. I just need words of encouragement because I none of my friends are awake and I'm feeling really sad....

Long distance relationships are very hard, and no one should seriously even bother with one unless they understand that they take about 3 times the effort as a normal one. It doesn't sound like he is willing to put in the effort which means that if you choose to try to pursue it is YOU who will be responsible for the majority of the sacrifices and responsibility with what sounds like very little in return.
Your best on this one is to just realize that it is not going to happen and just cut your losses and chalk it up to experience. Or you will get hurt, and not easy, but bad hurt. It can be incredibly devastating to invest a massive amount of time and energy into long distance relationship, especially one that is one sided. He is actually doing you somewhat of a favor by being honest with you. He may have some real feelings for you, but simply knows that he doesn't want to put in the effort. Take this as him letting you off east. It could be much worse. He could string you along and half *** it while letting you do all the work only to step out on you when you are not there.

I know the feeling. Because sometimes guys can be jerks. He knows he has the upper hand on you because you are asking him about the relationship. He feels like the man. He has to know that your feelings are hurt when you two hang up the phone. That's messed up. You need to get the upper the hand on this man. Make him start asking where does he stand. Find someone else to occupy your time at least for now.

Girl forget this guy. Find someone lucky enough to have you!!! Don't cut your self short on a jerk and that is what he is cause if he thinks your strange what makes him think in a year you would be any different. He is using you to hang around just incase he gets lonely don't be a fool...Find someone who love you for you strangness in all. You will be glad you did cause you deserve better than that Good luck

Be careful, he could have been my husband cheating on me as usual, which means the only pleasure he is getting is, by knowing he is good at making women believe anything he says to them. There are plenty of man out there having that sort of fun they call pass time. They all enjoy that sort of fun when they think they can't get caught out because of the distance. I suggest you look for someone locally.

Aww...guys are jerks, I know. As much as you don't want to hear it I think you should move on and find someone close to you that will love you for who you are. Sounds like that guy is seeing other people anyway. I know it hurts, but it will get better over time.

personally...i don trust long dist relationship. it takes a lot of effort and trust....i've been in 2, and both sucks. one of my long dist ex has been with me for 2yrs when she went to aussie for further studies...things still cant work out cuz of trust issues. i suggest u break up with him...leave him for good...find some1 else...dats my suggestion to you.
