So this guy was like talking to me for 45 minutes at this party - his friends tried to get him to go away with them twice, he said no both times... left once briefly and said "you're staying here right" - and i was like - sure...and then he insisted on getting my number and contact info (card). and then he gave me his cell & card.. so 2 weeks later, no call... after that whole presentation? what was that for? we had a teeny tiny kiss goodnight.

the only other thing is that after we said "good night" - i ended up seeing him at this other party... but i was with all of my friends so i dont think i looked stalker-ish... i just know the same ppl sorta. i left that place very quickly anyway. I know 1/2 the replies will just be "get over it" - and i am over it (he wasnt that special) - but it's the curiosity that plagues me. why act 150% into me and then vanish?

1. He was not drunk whatsoever. (would've been my first thought)
2. He wasn't trying to get laid - his friends were all in town & he had to be w/ them.
3. Doesn't seem to have a player personality - he was into ME at the party - hard core - it was very unusual, he was not trying to collect numbers

Sounds like he does that a lot...if he goes to 3 or 4 parties a week, then he probably gets 6-8 numbers a week, which means in a month, you are 1 of 24-32 girls that he can talk to...perhaps he is on backorder right now, or has found someone he likes more...

Don't take it personal, its a numbers game...

When I used to DJ in clubs, I got 3 or 4 numbers a night from girls, but a lot of times I wouldn't call them back, either because I was too busy with someone else, I just didn't feel like calling them back, or I found out more info about them later on that made them less attractive...sometimes, I honestly just forgot, and then after a certain time period, usually around a week and a half or two weeks, I just didn't bother because I either forgot who they were, or I figured they wouldn't remember anyways...

Ever stop to think that maybe he's already involved with or married to some one else and you were just a pleasant interlude ,,,, ? That very well could be the case you know ,,,, Some guys that have been out of the singles arena for a while will do this just to see if they still have the ole pa-zzaz so to speak lol,,,, Have you tried using the contact info he gave you ,,,, It just might be a number to no where and if it isn't you probably won't get an answer or if you do get an answer the person might not know who or what you are talking about which could leave you thinking that he inadvertently made a mistake in writing the number down for you ,,,, Either way ,,,, He got away with having a few pleasent moments with you ,,,, and out of his hair by giving you a random number ,,,, This doesn't necessarily make him a bad person but it's good that you ask this question only out of curiosity ,,,, There are people like this all over that attend parties alone and see it as play time ,,,, Some people doing this will take this allot further than he did with you ,,,, This is probably a good lesson learned for future reference at no expense to you ,,,,,

The three most likely s reasons are: 1) He lost your information.
2) He's already got a girlfriend or wife and was just seeing if he still had the skills to get a girls number.
3) He was drunk.

Maybe he was after more than just a date.....like sex ? He might have thought it was too much trouble and gave up on the whole idea and that's why he never called to pursue a relationship.

Good! You're over it, Maybe he wanted something else and when he realized he wasn't going to get it he bailed out. That is what a typical guy would do.*

*sorry to all the guys out there who are truly sensitive*

If you're so into him that you felt the need to post this question why don't you be the bigger WOMAN and call him up.

This is the only definitive way to find out if A) he was into you and B) if there could be anything between the two of you.

probably just trying to play it cool, or he might have gotten involved with someone else in the meantime. chances are you will never really know why this happened, but you're doing the right thing by not getting down about it.

He might have lost it. he may be a collector of #'s. He may have been drunk and not remember. He may have a girlfriend/wifey. He may have decided it was too easy. he may have been getting it for someone else.

You know you could just ASK HIM!!

Let it go.
