Yes, that is very normal. I have four cats and two dogs. There is always some sort of growling going on in my house. ;)
As long as the cat doesn't start growling at you, she's fine.

It is very normal for a cat to growl. I have 12 cats and there is a lot of growling going on here at all times of the night, especially with my feral cat. She thinks her poop don't stink but everyone elses does. As a matter of fact she will growl just before she reaches out and scratches you if you get to close to her and she is in one of her moods. So yes it is normal. And don't be too surprised to hear a hiss or 2 with those growls. Cats are fascinating creatures.

Very normal for an angry cat. Try getting a dead mouse out of a cats mouth - you will hear some serious growling!!!!I have a very friendly loving cat when he wants but if you pick him up and try to pet him when he is not in the mood - growl city, and it will get louder and longer the more you bother him. LOL

I work at a vet clinic. Most cats that come in are either very friendly, or very scared, and they just remain quiet. BUT we do get the cats in who HATE us, and they do growl, and snort, and hiss, and spit. If a cat is upset it is normal for them to growl and snort.

One of my cats growls when my huskie gets to close to her. My other cat just hisses at the dog, it's been five years now. The third cat and the dog are best friends, go figure.

Cats have no problem growling...I have the queen of them in my house. They don't normally do it, they prefer to hiss loudly, arch their backs and make their hair stand up which makes them look larger than they are. If the dog is new and the cat was there first I'm not surprised you have this situation. Normally it will sort itself out.

No, it's normal when they get mad - I think it's quite funny! Get a video of it! Doesn't only happen with cats and dogs, happens with cats and cats - the snorting is the absolute best!
Now, I'm no computer whiz, so I have no clue how to post links, but one of my favourite videos is called Very Angry Cat, on YouTube. It's a cat called Burger and Fries, a ginger cat who is truly, very angry. It's scary for the first few viewings, because he is SO mad, but after that it gets funny. Sorry, I can't give the link, but hopefully you can find it under the proper name of the video I gave above.

Sure cats growl! I've had cats all of my life and I've heard them growl at dogs lots of times and I've heard them growl at other cats as well.

Yes. It's a normal thing. When my sister picks up my cat she growls. It just means she's unhappy.
