just use an over the counter wart removal solution or cover your neck with duct tape for many weeks but the tape method seems rather unsightly and uncomfortable on the neck

I think you're talking about skin tags, and not wards. I had a bunch around my neck area also, during and after the pregnancy. I let my doctor decide what was best to do, and he burned them off.
I would try anything a home, as some home "remedies" turn out not to be such a good idea. Let your doctor decide what is best for you.
It wasn't "fun" to get rid of them, but the way I see it is that for anyone who gave birth, or passed a kidney stone, this is just a piece of cake compare to that.

Are they actually warts or are they skin tags? Skin tags are little pieces of skin that are not painful and are real thin usually. I had one on my eye. I also got it when I was pregnant. I went to the doctor because it bothered me. She said to wait and see if it got worse before I did anything. Well, it drives me nuts to have irregular things on my body. I clipped it with nail clippers and then it went away. I am certainly not advising this, but maybe you can ask your OB on what to do. Hormonal changes suck!!

If they're skin tags, you can paint them with a liquid bandage type coating like Nu Skin (that's one brand, there are others). I've heard that makes them drop off. Safer than clipping. I doubt that they're warts, because the location and partial description you gave sounds more like skin tags.
