It's the same dress. One comes in white and is $150 more. The other only comes in ivory. What's your opinion?

Beautiful styles.

Both have a similiar style, so it depends on what kind of material it is.
The JCPenny's one is polyester & acetate. It's stiffer and the material is more shiny.
The other is undefined. But it looks softer and more form fitting. It drapes a lot more.

It depends on the occasion. Super-special event like a wedding? Go for the bridal shop. Prom? JCPenny's.

It totally depends on the fabric.

From the picture, the only real difference is the train and the color. Ivory would look pretty in the sunset, but may look "dirty" if full daylight. I don't know if the train is a pro or con for you...that is up to you. They are very bridal, but you have to make sure to bustle it or it WILL get ripped.

However, I am concerned about the fabric. The fabric in the white dress looks "richer." You want your dress to be inexpensive, but not look cheap. It looks like the JC Penny dress could potentially look cheap.

Hope that helps!

Go with the white its your day to shine. Ivory won't look good at the beach but the white wow. You will look very beautiful in the white dress and by the water. Lots of luck and congratulations.

Absolutely lovely!
I'm so jealous...Not really, I hope you have a wonderful day whatever dress you choose! OK, I'm a loser....just looked at one link...then submitted and saw everyones elses answers...hehe....ohhhhh 2 dresses. Well white definitely for a wedding, and if a prom or other dance I would go with the gold.....
but....the white OR the Ivory would be gorgeous for wedding.

The white is very pretty. But, keep in mind the wedding is only one day the marriage is long term. Don't worry so much about the dress you already have the most important things, your partner , the love, and your commitment to one another.

Good luck.

the white one for sure...the ivory looks more like a party dress a guest would wear then a wedding dress. pay the $150 extra and get the nicer dress.

If it is for your wedding I would pay the extra money for the white. Its such a special event that a little more money can be spent besides I think the white one is more prettier and much more elegant than the darker one.

Definitely the white one. The other one looks like an evening gown or something you would wear to like a prom or something. It's your wedding.........go all out. Get the white one.

Looks like the same dress. Bridal shops overcharge way too much. Ivory & white are about the same too. Get the cheaper one & spend the extra on accessories.
