i have had my cat for 4 yrs since he was newly born. kept him and raised him myself at home. declawed his front paws and neutered him. he has never gone outside cuz i live in the 4th floor. so i was having some problems at home with my mom and had to take him to my aunts house for 3 weeks. they live in a regular house and i suppose they let him outside but kept a close eye on him and i saw 3 cats roaming around that area each time i came for a visit between those 3 weeks. i was there one day and saw the 3 cats come and i took my cat outside to see them, but i held my cat the whole time. he is now VERY VISCIOUS!....very mean cn anyone help me tame him like i had him b4? he was SUPER friendly and calm b4

You put him in a situation that he felt was threatening to him. Now he doesn't trust you. Cats don't like being taken out of their comfort zone (your home) to start with, then you put him in a situation where he had to deal with other animals he was unfamiliar with.

It will take time but let him stay at home and come to you after he has forgiven you. It may take some time.

Sounds like your cat has become one of the gang. Also, you have put him through a lot, by taking him out of a home he was use to and putting him somewhere he wasn't use to, and then with you not being there added to it. I have a big old cat named Psycho, and he is not allowed to go outside at all. He has been hissing at me, just me ever since he could figure out how to use his hisser, hence the name Psycho. I would give him a chance to get use to being with you and only you in his usual surroundings. Do not take him out of the surroundings again unless you go too. And who knows it is very possible something happened to him while he was at your Aunts' house. It is very hard to say. But give the old boy a chance to get accustomed to his home again. See if that helps.I also had a cat that I gave to a friend because hers passed away and he refused to eat, use the litter box or come out from under her bed. This went on for 3 days and needless to say the pistol is right back here with his mommy. And it only took him about ten minutes to realize where he was and become himself again. Of course the first thing he did was use the litter box. Did n't think they could hold it for that long....lol.

Good Luck, Sweetie. It will be hard and I think with patience you will have your old kitty back. If he stops hissing at you and starts to hiss at your Aunt and/or your mum then you will know for a fact that something happened to him while away from you and he does not like the company you keep. They are no different than a dog, especially when it comes to neglect, and or trauma. It affects us all in one way or another.

it dosent have anything with declawing or nudering your cat. i have a cat that did the same thing yours did.
when a cat is raised by a peson his whole life and is use to a life style they are very calm but when they are taken out of there comfort zone they get scared and protective.
everytime your cat try to hiss at you ignore it or just throw a treat in front of him to show him you still care.
my guess is your cat was very sheltered. its like a teenager grown up with the parents then start getting mouthy with them. but they grow out of the stage if the parent show interset and never gives up
so thats what you need to do never give up and give it some time

He is totally stressed from the move and going outside - the unknown. Give him some time and keep him inside. Just love him and reassure him with friendly pats. He should be fine in a few days.

He is that way from being declawed. Declawing a cat always has negative effects on their temperament. Claws are a cat's main avenue of defense and when they can't defend themselves they get frustrated and that turns to anger.

I'm sure you'd be pissed off too if someone cut off all of your fingers at your first knuckle. Poor kitty. :(

Well cats are very they own you. So they think you didn't get permission to take them somewhere else. That pisses them off. To get him/her back to thier old ways give them treats and pay extra attention to them. Take it from me i have 9 cats. When ever i go on vacation they are pissed at me for a few days or weeks depends on wich ones. GOOD LUCK!!! :-)

maybe he's sick - take him to the vet to get him checked out. That's what I would do.
