I am in the middle of conducting some research on medical tourism. I want to get Lipo, and Im stuck in between these two hospitals in Thailand. Has anyone had any procedures done here, and if so what was your experience? Did you go through a medical tourism company or make the appt on your own? Any suggestions on where to stay?

Bumrungrad is an excellent facility. I have been there and I would recommend it. The prices are reasonable. The hospital is 11 stories and they cater to Europeans, Middle Easterners. I have sent many of my friends to them any they were very happy with what they got. The baht is rising against the dollar 35 to 1 (I was 40 to 1 last year). Make your appointment on your own stay in the Sukimvit area. JW Marriot was $180 per night. The D'Ma was about $50. The Zenith was about the same (but not so nice). The Nana is a notorious hotel so I would not stay there.

There's a new airport so I'm not sure about the prices but transportation is very reasonable. Most taxi drivers can figure out where you want to go.

Bumrungrad is the better known hospital internationally. It is better established in medical tourism. Do contact them directly for your query.
