Everyone sometime in there life has been alone. Sometimes we need to be and other times we dont. For those times we need someone in our life and we feel the need to share our lives with someone, its not something that we can go and look for it and there it is. How do we all cope at that time of need? Do we feel unhappy, stressed, focus on other things?
Would like to hear different opinions on this.

There are times when I feel totally depressed like I will never find the right person. I usually try to focus on my family and work and hope things work out. I don't want to think I will spend the rest of my days alone. It gets really lonely at times. LOL...that is why I am here answering questions. Something to occupy my mind while I am waiting.

Personally, despite my best attempts, I've been completely alone for over three years.

I believe this this is mostly due to the fact that I work roughly 56 hours/week and suffer from a genetic condition known as hematoma auris which required the removal of my left ear. [Girls apparently can sense the presence of a genetic defect and are biologically pre-disposed to overlook men with any such condition].

I've found that the best way to deal with the loneliness and that accompany the fact that I am alone, is simply to suppress/destroy all my feelings, as every man should, and drink when I am unable to do so.

I reach out to friends and family. There are times where I am alone and feel really unhappy about it. I usually write in a journal about my feelings. I am not religious as such but I believe in a higher power. When things get bad i tend to have a little talk to him, although he never answers back. LOL

I have been alone for six years, and I learned to find ways to serve others. I believe when we serve others we find fulfillment in other ways! I have been very happy while alone, and now, I am purusing a possible relationship. I willing to not have it if things do not work out. It is a matter of whether we are desperate for love or want it for the best of both people. Desperation leads to divorces!

i try to occupy my time with other activities. try not to think about being alone cause then I'd get all sad an depressed. when you find happiness in other things happiness comes to you and so does the person or people. People don't want to be around someone sad cause their alone. sometimes you can't help letting it get to you but then you just have to go though it and get through it.

i go into deep depressions over things like this spending months trying to get away. I once rented a boat and sailed out into the ocean trying to get lost.

i couldnt operate the boat, the sails are so complicated. the people laughed at me and i checked myself into a local ward.

long story short, i wish my wife would come out of that coma, so i can stop spending all these days in the hospital ward praying for her to wake up

I usually am unhappy and feel very sad. Then I think about something else and end up feeling better.

I tend to feel depressed and stressed and highly irritable. I also begin to question my judgment, and my standards, but the feeling passes. It is a natural feeling, and another one of life's hurdles that we must jump over.
