You're absolutely right. But if he keeps thinking ur trying to pick a fight, maybe its ur tone when u talk about it....do you sound angry? Upset? Pay attention to yourself next time you start the topic....keep your voice light.

Also, how often do you try to talk abt the problems? Guys hate heavy discussions all the time...most of them just aren't made to be serious all the time. They also don't like being asked what's on their mind. So don't ask that question...just let him know that you're there whenever he's ready to talk. Trust me, if there really is a problem with him, sooner or later, he'll blurt it out.

For your part, tell him u just want to explain what's on your mind....that you'll feel better by saying it aloud. He doesn't have to say anything in return, just listen to you, and maybe give you a hug after you're done. If he's a nice guy, whtever you've said will play on his mind, and maybe he'll be ready to really discuss it in a few days. My experience has been just this....if you want to discuss something serious....its not like sitting with another gal....it drags on for a few days, weeks even, before you get a response from a guy. But if u really love him, hang in there. Best of luck!

This is old as dirt. I think most men like that. I heard different women said this what you just said. I think most men like to ride their problem out –like it never there. Instead of face a fight or argument, they just simple say, “Don’t start that again” like you go to start something. I heard some girls said that too with different issues. I think some people just like the easiest ways out. It didn’t source anything, but more peaceful at that moment to them.

Seems like he's a little insecure and/or guilty about this issue.

You could always just let it spill over.
Or figure out a way to trick him into talking about it.

If all else fails, write him a letter.
