Is it shallow for me to dump a girl with a nice personality because she's not physically attractive to me??

I met her online and we some great long conversations, but when i met her in person i did not find her physically attractive, i don't want to use the word ugly cuz i'm not exactly brad pitt, but there wasn't much there for me, put it that way, i'm not expecting super-model here, just average looking i guess....
i guess the moral of the story is always get a picture first!

I Believe that it is Not shallow. Some people may tell you that it is. But i feel that if there is no physical attraction then you miss out on a lot in the relationship. But i also know that sometimes physical attraction can grow. I have known guys that were so wonderful that physical attraction grew with time. But if it is not growing, you are not doing her any favors by staying with her just because you feel bad about it.

Well it's better than to lead her on and then dump her.
You have to have a connection and like somebody for their personality..but there has to be some sort of physical attraction as well...like a nice smile, nice eyes or whatever.

No, you're being honest. I wouldn't tell HER the real reason (people make stuff up about breakups all the time) but it's OK. There's nothing wrong with not being attracted to someone. That's called friendship.

how could you dump her if she's not attracted to you? if that's the case, you can't dump her now can you?
if you re with a girl, and you dump her b/c of her nice personality, than yes you're shallow. looks fade.

I think to make a relationship works, there must be at least some attraction or chemistry. So, if you don't feel it, then you can't really force yourself to be in the relationship and be miserable.

anyone who says "looks dont matter" is stupid. why date someone you are not physically attracted to? i have before and i couldnt kiss the person... ummm thats not a good thing in a relationship. find someone you are attracted to, and things will be alot better

It depends on how picky you are, and how long you'd been together. But generally speaking, it isn't wrong if you have reasonable standards and were not really committed to her. Good night!
