Would you be classified as "suicidal" if you really had no intentions of ever purposly hurting yourself, you just had repeated thoughts of "wishing that you weren't here anymore"? Suicide to me is not really an option of a way out. I wouldn't ever truly cosider it. I know that I am depressed, and Im already aware that I need professional help. Any other answers out there to make me feel better about feeling like junk, and possibly any answers to feeling like I would rather just not be....would be greatly appreciated.

what you are describing isn't suicidal ideology, its a sign of depression, which can easily escalate to sucidal intentions.

Your best bet is to at least talk to a mental health counseler and get their input and assessment. Thats the best way to start. They deal with this on a daily basis and would be better suited to address your specific issues. Best of luck to you ... and Smile !

I was placed in a mental hospital one time by accident. My neighbor thought I was suicidal.
While there the doctor asked me if I had thoughts of suicide. I told him I thought everyone had thoughts of it. It's the crazy people who try it. The important thing is not to hurt yourself. If you really feel like you need to hurt yourself or even check out altogether, get help right away. You can always call the suicide prevention people and just talk to them. Sometimes I do that if I'm really bored. They'll talk to you no matter what.
You can alway get a pet. You'd be surprised at how good you can feel knowing a small animal depends on you fro everything. Makes you feel important and loved. I got cats now.

I suffer from depression and am on medication, I know what you are feeling, as I have felt the same way on occassion. You just get overwhelmed and wonder why you continue. Because you are feeling so crummy, everyone around you feels the same, at least you think they do and you wonder why you should be here to just make people feel bad. I can tell you that it does pass and that the medication does help. Part of the healing is recognizing that you do have a problem, which you have done. Keep moving forward and it will get better.

Although you are not suicidal now , if you continue to wish you weren't here, eventually you could decide to make it come true.
Is there any chance of you taking some time to look around the planet and see if there is SOMETHING worthwhile or someone that needs help that you could provide ? Are there any kids who would benefit from talking to you ?
Just take a bit of time to look at the world outside of you . . . maybe you can make a difference.

You are only suicial if you have tried to commit suicide, but then if you think about this it might not be a bad idea if you were to get some help. Wouldn't hurt.

No you are not suicidal if you have no intentions of actually commiting suicide but you do need to be careful what you say around people as they could missinterpret what you say.
