Ariel is a good name... but here are some suggestions:
something that is beautifull, not horny and not dorky. Something that wont let her feel ashamed or humiliated when she grows up. Definitely not "Princess" or "Sleeping beauty" or "cinderella". Kids are sooo mean these days they will embarrass and tease her if she grows up with those names.
So try:
Aurielle (similiar to Ariel, but sounds more smooth) ah-rhi-elle
Isabella (nickname:Bella)
Elizabeth (Nicknames: Aliza, Liza, Beth, Eli, this is excellent for a girl that will eventually become a teenager, because she will want to experiment with names )
Alaina (short, but smooth)

Well my daughter's name is Ashlynn. Arial is cute. If that is the one that you can't get out of your head than thats the name to go with. But make sure that it goes with your last name too. Have 5 neices:

Personally I don't like Ariel, but it's not up to me!!! My favourite girls name is Brooklyn Kate, but I never got to use it because I have 3 sons!! Good luck with your little one!

I named my daughter Oceana and I call her Ocean for short. Also I like the names Stella, Alcyone, Bella, Faith, and Aurora are some others. Greek names are usually pretty. I named my daughter a name that had a strong meaning behind it. Her first name is Oceana meaning Ocean and her Middle name is Mercedes meaning grace and Mercy, therefore Oceans of grace and mercy. It was fitting for her because she is my first child...If I have any more children I would name them (if they are girls) Stella Hope (star of hope) or Bella Faith (beautiful faith) since I don't know you I don't mind if you use those names I think they are pretty...
