i'm sure not all men do, but the ones i've been with have. crying makes my current boyfriend nuts. if i'm crying about something other than him then it's fine, he is very caring and comforting then. I was just curious about what others have experienced or thought about it.

i think that guys "freak out" when we tear-up because maybe they dont know how to react when we do; or they dont know what to do to make us stop. i think it's really sweet when they try to do anything to make us stop; and that makes us smile so its all good. =] sometimes guys think its annoying when we cry too because its like they think we might be "always" moody and stuff. but thats guys.

Usually when you cry over a man in front of him it makes him feel guilty, for making you cry... if they cant properly express their feelings about the situation they get mad over the guilt they are feeling. Also as the poster above so eloquently demonstrated some men may also think a woman is crying to purposely manipulate him and make him feel bad... I am sure some do but most women dont.

Hi! My boyfriend is exactly the same! I think its because they feel like they are not in control of the relationship anymore, I mean like they are'nt doing their job to keep you happy. At least they do worry. I think we should be grateful that they freak out when we cry, otherwise it just might mean that they dont care anymore.

maybe he does not know how to handle the guilt when you are crying over him. and if he makes you cry is he really that great of a guy?
