I don't get it, my body shape is just weird. I'm 163 cms and 52 kgs, I have a flat stomach (well, more or less) and my waist is quite small, but my thigh is HUGE, in an elephanty-large kind of way. It feels like I'm cursed to never wear a skirt above my knee...

And my calf isn't any better either, it's big and it wobbles. I don't get it, I walk to school everyday and I walk my dog every week. Is that what's causing it?

Can anybody tell me how to deal with it? Hopefully other ways than surgery or expensive medication. What should I eat and what shouldn't I eat?

Is it muscle bulk or fat?

1) To hepl with either, do pilates. Which will lengthen and tone. Yoga will make you limber while you tone. Try Cardio, which is a quick way to loose fat. Allso do interval training, basicaly 10 min of cardio, then 5 min of weights, 10 min cardio....Switch up your routine every other week to keep it fresh and exciting!

your cardio can be dance, kickboxing, running, anything to get your heart pumping.

Then walk in place and lift weights, or do lunges and squats. Then go back to cardio. 5 pound weights are fine, or life soup cans. you just need a little resistance!

As for food, Everyone can loose weight just by eating healthier. Eat what is natural to your body. Fruits, veggies..... Stay away from instant foods like Ramen (Yummy I know...), soup is better. Buy foods with 5 or less ingrediants. Make sure you can pronounce the ingredianta and know what they are and theor effects on your body.

Be patient for resluts. It takes time. Be consistant! Good luck!

Dear heart, you need a better diet, and more exercise. Try getting more sleep while you are at it. You don't need to do everything before you are 30 that can be done in life. Get the stress out while you are at it. Most of the things you dread aren't going to happen any way. Stress can be a fat storing trigger.
Get the book, "The Makers Diet" and follow it. I would be willing to bet that you are currently eating a high salt, sugar, carbohydrate diet. It's the old American diet and it is referred to as "SAD" (standard American diet) for a reason. Change your way of life, and watch you elephant legs change for the better. Don't try the quick fixes, they don't work. Expensive drugs or surgery is of no long term use unless the diet is changed. It'll all take work on your part, but in the long run, you will be better off for having done your change, the hard way.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

How about pilates? It makes your figure more slender :)
