Seasons at the Four Seasons or Avenue at the Peninsula...

I've been to both and liked Avenues better. It's European style, which some people do not like. You could also try The Lobby, the cheaper (but still very nice) restaurant next to Avenues.
Seasons is great as well. As the name implies the menu changes seasonally. More of classic American fine dining than Avenues chic euro-style. I liked both better than NoMi or any of the other Michigan Ave. restaurants.

The Hyatt Regency has very good food.

the embassy suites downtown has a nice eatery
