okay i am 14 years old and i want to lose about 8 lbs and mainly just tone up for the summer
i mainly want to thin out my thighs and work on getting a flat stomach
how can i achieve this?
my mom wont let me join a gym or fitness center jsut yet becuase she says im going to jus tgo there and play, which im not i really want to do this
so what can i do?
is there certain excercises you would reccomend
and if i do get to join whcich machines would target the areas i want?

Don't worry, your not missing much at the gym.
1) don't obsess about your weight. Its all about how YOU look and how YOU feel. Don't even go near a scale.
2) Muscle is heavier than fat, but takes up less space. So you will get thinner, but at the same time you'll be gaining weight. But it healthy weight.
3) Eat healthy. Fruits, Vegtables ect... Stay away from food thats instant, or has more than 5 ingrediants. Soup is okay, but choose wisely.
4) Thighs: run. Do cardio. Lunges. ANy type of lunge you can think of, do it, 12 reps for each type of lunge on each leg. Squats. Dance. STREATCHING is very impotrant.
5)ABS: Pilates, yoga. Cardio. Dance.
6) Change up your routine everyother week. This surprises your muscles. If you do the same exersices every day, your body will get used to it. Add varitey. Dance one day, strenght train the next.
7) Do NOT work out one body part every day. Give time for the muscle to heal even if its not sore. Sore is good. Do upper body one day, Lower body the next.

Wait a month to see noticeable results. Be consistant with workout times. For example, set aside 30 min. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to workout and STICK TO IT! SMILE when you work out, you'll feel better. Don't be overly critical of yourself. Be practical. Find what works best for YOU.

for losing just 8 pounds, and toning up a little bit, try yoga or pilates, its fun, and you'll get results. you wont stop once you've started!

Walk; run; jogging... riding your bicycly is also a great way to workout.
