If Muslims hated Jews, how come for many centuries...?

Jews occupied the highest-ranking in society, while Europe they were subject to random killing sprees(i.e. Inquisition, after the Black Death, and Russia).

I love some of the excuses people made, like Torchbearer couldn't spell inept, perhaps he is inept, and Nestorian doesn't even know who the Almohades are but conveniently cites them as terrorists to the Jews.

The Jews have unfortunatley had a difficult time in their history with the idea of keeping a land for themselves, and have thus been involved with many problems all over the world in their travels throughout the last few thousand years. There are religious and political reasons behind this as well. I think people in today's time tend to associate Muslims hating the Jews because over the last 50 years most of the land issues have been with Muslims and the people who have no clue about world history don't have a well educated opinion on the matter. I wish all these land issues would be settled and that 'we can all just get along,' as the saying goes.

The Jews and the Muslims have always gotten along, and had mutual respect for each other. (Exclude the Zionists-which can be of any religion). And, if you look at history, the Jews and the Muslims had a common enemy-the Christians.........the Crusades and the Inquisition. Tho, in Moorish Spain, the Christians also live in harmony with the Jews and the Muslims.

I do not know of a religion that is free from having been the persecutor or the persecuted. Muslims, Jews and Christians have all taken turns being both. Until humankind can learn tolerance, acceptance and take joy in our many differences, we will never truly be rid of the fear that leads to hatred, intolerance and genocide. God is not to blame for the woes of humankind, we are. As long as people continue to point out whats wrong with everyone else, we will never learn. Start looking for the good in people and you will find it.

Muslims don't hate Jews. That is just one of the many bias the media show. You can find a Muslim and Jews family at a dinner table together, but that is not something the news channels would want to show just the violence.

Times have changed.

There was a time when the Muslims were moderate and lovers of culture and freedom (though even those periods were frequently marred by fanatic Muslim rebellions such as the fanatical Islamist "Almohades" in Spain which massacred Jews and Christians). Unfortunately Islam has slipped back into the dark ages since.

If Muslims hated Jews and wanted to get rid of them as some right-wingers says *cough*Bill O'Reilly*cough*, they'd get rid of all the Jews that live on their land first.

FYI, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq, etc. . .All have Jews. Saudi Arabia I believe is the only middle east nation that's 100% pure Muslim.

Globalisation has meant that enemies are now at each others doors. what was once 'out of sight, out of mind' is now on the TV, internet, or even in the next neighborhood.

bringing people together in business through globalisation has meant that publicly we have got too close to the things we hate. so the angst has risen as exponentially as the bombardment of opposing views has infused our lives.
