I kissed some jerk back in high school and I got my first cold sore in my mouth.
Now 2 years later, I get open sores in my nose, that hurt a lot, that last for weeks, and one summer I even had small red bumps all below my eyes. They looked just like smaller versions of the red bumps in my nose.
I do bite my nails, and I tend to touch my face a lot.
Could this be the work of my cold sore/Herpes virus spreading?
Anyone else have this problem?

(BTW- please no perverted, rude answers)

Believe me, long before you have your first kid you will get the herpes simplex that causes cold sores and if only jerks are passing it around then 99% of people are jerks. It has to do with your immune response as the virus is the same from person to person. And of course you can spread it. The number one thing affecting your immune response is sleep.

If you get enough sleep you are much more likely to fight off an attack (called a “flair” and not “flair up”). Just remember to wash your hands often. I know it seems useless but it makes a major difference. Quite simply, the more you wash your hands the less it will spread.

Just be cautious of touching any mucus membranes on your body and before you do, wash your hands. I think you know what I mean but when you have a flair, do just the opposite of what you were taught... wash your hands “before” you go to the bathroom.

most everyone get herpes simplex on their lip at some time. Some unfortunate ones also get them in their nose and eyes. Your Dr. can prescribe something to lessen the nember of outbreaks, and make it heal faster, too.

If you rely on home treatment then put 1Ltr. water on stove, when it starts boiling add 5grams pepper powder, 5grams dry ginger powder, 3grams Ajwain and two tea spoon sugar. Boil it till it reduces to 200grams of water. Take it at just before sleeping. Take it for a week . You will find relief.
